We at HoloGuides create our own numbering system. You may use the system as you want, it is free for all. Since so many catalogues 'forbid' to use their number on website (copyright) we are sure this will help all philatelists.

How the number works?

a 3 letter code for the country : FRA, LUX, USA, ...

followed by the year, month and day of issue (generl public)

and if more than one stamp was issued that day a running nuber from the lowest face value to the highest face value.

example : FRA19640608 - France 1964 June 8
